my mom is the sweetest. especially when it comes to picking birthday gifts. things haven't changed much since i was a kid, except now she sends me stuffed animals for painting instead of playing! this guy was only partially unwrapped when i decided i had to paint him in all his, "get me the fuck outta this paper" glory. i love him.

this series is tiny. bits of life from my studio and home captured on 4 x 4" to 6 x 6" blocks of canvas.
this series began a few years ago when confronted with the sheer amount of colorful bottles i had collected over the years. essie, pop and chanel are three brands whose bottle shapes and colors i'm obsessed with.

American, b. 1980
Nicole lives and works on Jupiter Island, Florida. Her practice includes painting, ceramics, wearable art and dance.
Nicole was born and raised by a family of artists in upstate N.Y., a life of creativity was nurtured and encouraged. After completing her first oil painting at the age of twelve, a personal desire to pursue an artistic life was sparked. Nicole went on to study painting on scholarship to Arizona State University. Her paintings are in collections across Europe, the Middle East, Asia and America.
“My work is an ongoing survey of the objects, landscapes and people around me; both past and present. I am drawn to the overly-saturated, the kitschy, and the saccharine. They’re meditations on objects made of plastic, polyester and artificial flavoring.”
Nicole will have her first solo show at the ArtSmithArt Gallery in Weston FL, November 2017.
